Bible Verses on Hope

10/2/2017

Everyone seems to needs hope and encouragement regularly, and what better place to turn than to Him and His Word. “As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him” (Psalm 18:30). I find that when things in my life or the world seem out of control there is no better place to turn.  My prayer is that these verses help you to restore and maintain your hope, and trust in God in every area. I pray that you will sense His peace, and His joy. I pray that you seek and find comfort in God and you are able to hear His encouragement, and feel His embrace. Nothing compares to His presence and His embrace. We are so thankful that “no word from God will ever fail” (Luke 1:37)  Bring in Your hope, Father God and peace in our lives and empower us to move in the plans You have and given us, and encourage us on the journey.  In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. - 1 John 4:4

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. - John 3:17

But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. - Psalm 3:3

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.  - Jeremiah 29:12-13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. - Romans 15:13 (He is the God of hope!)

I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame -  Psalm 25:2-3

For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. - Romans 8:19-21

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. - Hebrews 11:1

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. - 1 Timothy 6:17

For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.- 2 Corinthians 1:5-7

God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering. - Genesis 41:52

But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the Lord, ‘because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.’ - Jeremiah 30:17

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.- Psalm 31:24

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. - Romans 5:1-5

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. - 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.’” - Ezekiel 37:11-14

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. - 2 Corinthians 4:8

We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you. - Psalm 33:20-22

My God! Now I am deeply discouraged, but I will remember you— even from distant Mount Hermon, the source of the Jordan, from the land of Mount Mizar. I hear the tumult of the raging seas as your waves and surging tides sweep over me. But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life. - Psalm 42:6-8 (NLT)

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. - 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. Bonus Quotes on Hope

Hope is called the anchor of the soul (Hebrews 6:19), because it gives stability to the Christian life. But hope is not simply a ‘wish’ (I wish that such-and-such would take place); rather, it is that which latches on to the certainty of the promises of the future that God has made.
~ RC Sproil

Sometimes, I get curious on why I God made me and what are the reasons why I deserve this kind of life. I was very thankful to him because I was able to experience happiness and sadness. I cannot imagine life without him and without someone who you can depend on every time you needed someone. I might not see him nor hear him, I know that He is always guiding me. He gives me problems that only I and he can think of a solution.
