The Bethel song “You Make Me Brave” is such a great song that reminds me so much of God’s greatness. There are many parts of the song that have been speaking to me, but there is something really powerful about the how it begins. The song reminds me of His amazing power. I out being thankful for Him and a reminder of everything He has done. The lyrics continue to recognize His accessibility, “You made a way for all to enter in.” His love is not exclusive and He made it possible for everyone to walk in His love and enter into His kingdom. This is such an exciting part of Christianity that is celebrated with joy. Although for me this is only the beginning of my connection to the song.
As I continually do things that do not make sense on paper or to any worldly standard, I tend to need a lot of encouragement from God and within the church. The song lyrics, “You make me brave; No fear can hinder now the promises you made...No fear can hinder now the love that made a way,” really enable me to regain the confidence I need to keep going. It helps to establish that I am only pursuing these dreams through God’s strength and His love. I know that it is only through His removal of my fears that I have been doing anything. I am so thankful that he allows me to press in and dream. His love has let me be free and brave. His strength and love surrounds each of us so we can act and be free without restrains. When we pursue our big God sized dreams, we can go back on His love which makes it possible to be brave and step out. We will be out of comfort zone, but that is where He calls us. We are only able to step out with confidence because of His constant unfailing love and support.
I hope that you are also encouraged to walk out in boldness because of His overwhelming, unfailing love. I am so thankful that because of our secure place in Christ, all worldly fear is removed, and we can be truly wild and free. It changes everything and how we see everything and what we want to do when we are no longer limited by people and our previous misconceptions. He has placed big dreams and desires in our hearts for a reason He wants us to step out. He loves you and wants the best for you. Your dreams may seem too big and scary for you, but with God's strength and love they are not. He makes you brave and calls you to move!
